"Darren was amazing. He really knows his stuff. I like that he did not just stand there and preach. He engaged the audience. I did not realize how much I was scattered with my thought process until I joined the experience."

"The content is so practical and easy to apply to both my work and home life. The experience gave us so much knowledge. I really benefited from this experience. It covered so much but one of my biggest takeaways was being more resilient and positive. I know the signs of when my battery is becoming depleted and I know what works to get me back to where I need to be. "

Past participant feedback:

The key takeaway from this experience for me is that I may not have control over my job situation, but I and only I alone have control over my life and no one else.

Remember to breathe deeply, be mindful of things that you love, nutrition/sleep/exercise depend on each other and your values will keep you grounded.

Decreased negativity in my own thinking and looking at situations from a different perspective that helped me deal with specific personal situations

The timing for this experience was ideal for me as I was just implementing some major changes in my life that included improving my self-care.

The video sessions helped to reinforce the changes I have made and I feel confident that I will be able to continue on this path.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

Janice MacInnis | Manager, Organizational Health

The Growth team is on the leading edge over resilience research in students and the workplace. Resilience is where it is at. We can’t control what happens in the lives of our employees, but we can ensure they have the skills to get through it. The Q-Life is quickly becoming one of Dal’s “signature programs” and the results from participants have been outstanding. Word is out, and people are starting to look for the next offering

Dr Colin Guthrie, Mental Performance Consulting Group

“The Growth team systematic and multidimensional approach to assessing, preparing, monitoring, and developing resiliency in the individuals I work with, is a critical part of the journey for executive coaching or high-performance team development.”

Dr. Marc Pelletier Division of cardiac surgery at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School

“Resilience is one of our most important traits. It has an enormous impact on the  success and failures of our patients after cardiac surgery, our residents who undergo stringent medical training and
our colleagues who must treat challenging cases. Darren and the Growth group have identified the importance and scope of resilience, while also masterfully providing the reader with a clear and concise program to improve this part of our lives. Most of my patients would benefit from incorporating many aspects of this into their lives.”
